David Carpenter, MD, to Testify on DTE Smart Meter Health Effects Before Michigan Public Service Commisson

Dr. David Carpenter, world-recognized public health physician and one of the editors of the Bioinitiative Report, will testify in Michigan about the injurious effects of smart meters, Monday, July 6, starting at 9 a.m. Please attend the hearing! He will be cross-examined by DTE. This should be an interesting show.

David Sheldon of Michigan Stop Smart Meters has brought Dr. Carpenter in to testify before the Michigan Public Service Commission. Dr. Carpenter’s position is that the current smart meter technology poses health risks both because of the microwave radiation and because of the low frequency “dirty electricity” these meters put on the wiring of homes and businesses.  Carpenter is a public health physician, Director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the University at Albany, and Professor of Environmental Health Sciences within the School of Public Health at the University at Albany.

David Sheldon, Richard Meltzer, and Paul Wilk have all become intervenors in the new DTE rate case before the commission. What this means is, they get to submit testimony and argue the case, just like the attorney general and others.

We would like to see as many as possible attend the above hearing before the administrative judge to show support for Dr. Carpenter and for the testimony he is providing that will be so helpful to our cause.

Dr. Carpenter is testifying without compensation. Michigan Stop Smart Meters is funding Dr. Carpenter’s expenses, including plane fare. Please contribute whatever you can to help defray expenses, which amount to about $1000. Please send contributions by check or money order to:
